WASHINGTON: Google has found that Russian operatives spent tens of countless numbers of pounds on ads on YouTube, Gmail, Google lookup and other merchandise, The Washington Article noted on Monday.

The ads do not appear to be from the exact same Kremlin-affiliated entity that bought ads on Facebook Inc, which might show a broader Russian on-line disinformation effort, the paper noted. Google runs the world’s biggest on-line promoting organization and YouTube is the world’s biggest on-line movie site.
